Victor Black serves as the Magnet School Assistance Program (MSAP) Project Director at Norwalk Public Schools, where he is dedicated to fostering educational equity and excellence through innovative programming. With a passion for catalyzing opportunities for children, Victor has played a pivotal role in securing a significant $15 million MSAP grant, which he coauthored and led as the primary investigator. This achievement underscores his expertise in educational leadership and grant management, as well as his commitment to enhancing the academic and personal attributes of students.
In his current role, Victor collaborates closely with both Magnet Schools Assistance Program Leadership and District Leadership to implement the Accelerate Excellence initiative with fidelity. His responsibilities include supervising project evaluators to ensure compliance with all project contract commitments and maintaining productive partnerships. Additionally, he oversees the MSAP STEAM Supervisor Administrators across three school sites, ensuring that the curriculum development and professional development initiatives are effectively coordinated.
