Tom Davenport serves as the Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, where he leverages over 25 years of management experience to drive impactful training initiatives for businesses, industries, and government entities. With a robust background in grant writing and administration spanning two decades, Tom has successfully secured and managed over $4.5 million in funding to support workforce training programs. His academic credentials, including an M.S. and B.S. in Business, complemented by advanced coursework in Workforce Development and Training, equip him with the expertise to develop and implement effective educational strategies.
Under Tom’s leadership, the Continuing Education Units (CEUs) program has flourished, awarding certifications to more than 3,000 professionals, including plumbers, electricians, and social workers across various locations such as Bardstown, Elizabethtown, Campbellsville, Leitchfield, and Springfield. His commitment to community outreach and organizational development ensures that the training programs are not only relevant but also tailored to meet the evolving needs of the workforce. Tom’s experience with the Chamber of Commerce and in economic development further enhances his ability to forge strong partnerships with local businesses, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
