Taryn Dennie is an accomplished University of Miami alumna with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policies, currently pursuing a law degree. As a Sustainability and Energy Management Intern, Taryn plays a pivotal role in advancing the university's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Collaborating closely with both the Office of Sustainability and the Department of Facilities, she has been instrumental in developing innovative green office and green lab programs that promote sustainable practices across campus.
One of Taryn's key projects includes the implementation of the Green Reps initiative for housing, which empowers students to take an active role in fostering sustainability within their living environments. This program not only enhances awareness of environmental issues but also encourages peer-to-peer engagement in sustainable practices. Taryn’s analytical skills shine through her work on life-cycle cost analyses, where she meticulously calculates the long-term financial and environmental impacts of various sustainability initiatives.
