Stephanie Caloir serves as the Director of Evaluation and Health Initiatives at the NYC Department of Education, where she plays a pivotal role in enhancing health education and wellness programs across the city’s vast network of public schools. With a focus on supporting over 1,700 schools that cater to approximately 1.1 million students, Stephanie is dedicated to ensuring that school administrators and educators have access to high-quality, standards-based health education resources. Her expertise in program development and evaluation is instrumental in creating impactful health initiatives that address the diverse needs of students.
In her current role, Stephanie leads critical research and evaluation efforts, including the design and execution of health-related program assessments. She collaborates closely with the Institutional Review Board to ensure compliance and ethical standards in research practices. Notably, she spearheads the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-funded National School Health Profiles, which provide valuable insights into the health behaviors of students across the nation.
