Rene Calzadilla currently serves as the Assistant Coordinator for Grupo Folklórico de UCLA, where he plays a pivotal role in promoting Mexican Folklorico dance and culture within the community. With a strong background in the events services industry, Rene leverages his expertise in event management and communication to create engaging and educational experiences for students. He is instrumental in devising weekly dance training sessions for over 20 elementary and middle school students, fostering not only their dance skills but also a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of Mexican culture.
In his role, Rene effectively manages a diverse team of 13 cabinet members and over 50 general body members, ensuring that initiatives are completed on time and that projects align with the organization’s mission.
