Pavan Konakandla currently serves as the Group Lead for Battery Electrolytes at Reliance Industries Limited, where he leverages his extensive background in chemical engineering to drive innovation in energy storage solutions. With around 16 years of diverse experience spanning biofuels, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and food processing, Pavan has honed his expertise in technology development from concept to commercialization. His role involves leading a dynamic Process Design team, where he acts as a crucial interface between research and plant operations.
Pavan's responsibilities encompass the entire project lifecycle, including the preparation of Process Development Packages (PDP) and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) packages, as well as overseeing commissioning, plant trials, and scale-up activities. His proficiency in conducting Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) ensures that safety and efficiency are prioritized throughout the development process. Pavan is also adept in advanced simulation tools such as Aspen Plus and HTRI, which he utilizes for equipment sizing and process optimization.
Currently, Pavan is spearheading key projects aimed at developing high-performance battery electrolytes, a critical component in the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
