Oscar Brandi is a highly experienced Principal Piping Designer at KBR, Inc., where he has been instrumental in driving the success of large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), EP (Engineering and Procurement), and FEED (Front End Engineering Design) projects both domestically and internationally. With over 30 years of industry experience, Oscar has honed his expertise in advanced piping design software, including SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), PDS, and PDMS, as well as MicroStation and Navisworks. His proficiency in these tools enables him to create comprehensive piping layouts and detailed designs that meet the stringent requirements of complex projects.
Currently, Oscar is engaged in the BLADE (H269) EPC Refinery Expansion project, where he leads the design efforts for OSBL slippers and pipe racks, as well as off-site battery limit interconnections and ATB pump installations in Area D1. His role involves not only technical design but also site supervision and walk-down activities, ensuring that all aspects of the piping systems are executed to the highest standards. Previously, he served as the Area Leader for the refrigeration unit in the Woodfiber (G687) FEED LNG plant, where he was responsible for developing innovative piping and equipment arrangements that optimized plant efficiency.
Oscar’s extensive background in liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects, coupled with his hands-on experience in tie-ins and demolition, positions him as a key asset in the engineering landscape. His ability to integrate cutting-edge technologies, such as LFM and Leica TruView laser scans, into his design processes further enhances his contributions to KBR's mission of delivering superior engineering solutions.
