Okano Tetsuhiko currently serves as Vice President at SMBC Capital Markets, Inc., where he plays a pivotal role in the Derivative Product Group focused on Project Finance. With a robust background in corporate finance marketing and structured finance, Okano has cultivated a diverse skill set that includes financial modeling, negotiation, and capital markets expertise. His journey in the finance sector began in Osaka, where he honed his corporate finance marketing skills from 2012 to 2014, before expanding his knowledge through a half-year study at the University of Arizona.
Following his academic pursuits, Okano transitioned to the Project Finance department, where he contributed significantly to middle-market projects until 2016. His experience was further enriched during his secondment to NEXI, where he worked within the Power & Mining Group in the Marketing Division. This role allowed him to deepen his understanding of project financing in critical sectors, preparing him for his subsequent position in the Structured Finance Department, focusing on Power & Infrastructure.
