Minh Vy Nguyen R.T.(R)(T)(CMD) is a highly skilled Certified Medical Dosimetrist at WellStar Health System, where she plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of advanced treatment plans for cancer patients. A proud graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Minh Vy has been dedicated to the field of medical dosimetry since passing her CMD certification in August 2013. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of treatment planning systems, including Raystation TPS, Pinnacle TPS, and Accuray TPS for both Tomotherapy and Cyberknife technologies.
In her current role, Minh Vy is instrumental in designing complex treatment plans that incorporate cutting-edge techniques such as Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). She is adept at brachytherapy planning, particularly for Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) using Savi devices and balloons, as well as pelvic plans utilizing cylinders and T&O techniques.
