Matthew Segil is a dedicated Interfaith Community Leader at Interfaith America, where he leverages his diverse expertise in education, business, interfaith dialogue, and healthcare to foster community development. Currently, he spearheads the Bread Breakers Community Interfaith Group, a grassroots initiative that has successfully brought together over 90 members from various faith backgrounds in the Greater Boston Area. Matthew's role involves not only coordinating logistics for monthly dinners—such as food preparation, attendance tracking, and programming—but also facilitating enriching interfaith activities that promote understanding and collaboration among diverse cultural groups. His commitment to education is evident as he actively shares insights into Jewish culture, creating a welcoming environment that encourages dialogue and learning.
Under Matthew's leadership, the Bread Breakers Community has seen an average dinner attendance of 16 participants, reflecting his strong organizational skills and ability to engage community members. His innovative approach to interfaith programming has also led to the successful proposal and acquisition of funding for six key projects aimed at enhancing community cohesion and promoting ethical development. Matthew's proficiency in time management, public speaking, and teamwork further strengthens his capacity to lead initiatives that inspire joyful living and well-being. As he envisions the establishment of a comprehensive community center that integrates these disciplines, Matthew remains committed to cultivating a space where learning and collaboration thrive, ultimately enriching the lives of all community members.
