Matt Meisel serves as the Senior Director and Global Head of Internal Audit & SOX (Chief Audit Executive) at Datadog, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s internal audit strategy and ensuring robust compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. With a proven track record in scaling internal audit teams within hypergrowth and regulated environments, Matt is adept at delivering value-added audit and advisory projects that align with Datadog’s rapid expansion and evolving risk landscape. His leadership is instrumental in enhancing the effectiveness of internal controls, particularly as the company continues to experience significant revenue growth.
In his current role, Matt leads the global Internal Audit function, reporting directly to the Chair of the Audit Committee and administratively to the CFO. He has successfully enhanced Audit Committee reporting, providing greater transparency into significant risks and ongoing initiatives, which fosters informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
