Mary Baxter is a dynamic arts advocate and mission-driven leader who has dedicated her career to the development and administration of nonprofit arts organizations. As the Executive Director of Dramatic Adventure Theatre (DAT) for the past 18 years, Mary has been instrumental in connecting hundreds of theatre artists with cross-cultural opportunities around the globe. Under her leadership, DAT has created transformative platforms that allow artists to engage deeply with diverse communities, fostering a rich exchange of ideas, talents, and original works.
Mary’s commitment to the arts is reflected in the impressive impact of DAT, which has facilitated the travel of over 350 artists and students to nine countries across four continents. This initiative not only enriches the artists' experiences but also enhances cultural understanding and collaboration. Mary oversees a core staff of five, alongside two interns and three part-time in-country staff in Ecuador, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively.
