Lisa Nona serves as the Director of Advanced Practice for the Women's Service Line at Atrium Health, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the quality of care delivered to women throughout their lives. With two decades of experience in women's health, including nearly 13 years as a Nurse Midwife, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position. She oversees a dynamic team of close to 120 advanced practice providers (APPs), ensuring that they deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
In her current role, Lisa efficiently manages both low- and high-risk obstetrical patients, working closely with physicians in a high-volume practice that sees approximately 3,000 births annually. Her clinical acumen is complemented by her hands-on experience as a first assistant during cesarean sections, where she applies her skills in surgical assistance to enhance patient outcomes. Lisa maintains her clinical competencies through procedures such as IUD placements, Nexplanon insertion and removal, and endometrial biopsies, while also addressing common gynecological and primary care concerns.
Lisa's leadership extends beyond clinical practice; she is deeply involved in project management initiatives aimed at improving clinical quality and patient advocacy within the Women's Service Line.
