Laurence Wainwright serves as a Departmental Lecturer and Course Director for the MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise, and the Environment at the University of Oxford's School of Geography and the Environment. In this pivotal role, Laurence combines his interdisciplinary expertise in corporate sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and environmental education to cultivate a rich learning environment for students. His passion for teaching and commitment to fostering critical thinking enable students to explore the complex interplay between sustainability and enterprise, preparing them to tackle pressing global challenges.
Currently, Laurence is leading several key projects aimed at enhancing the curriculum and integrating innovative teaching methodologies. His focus on experiential learning encourages students to engage with real-world sustainability challenges, fostering a hands-on approach to problem-solving. As a Research Fellow at Green Templeton College and an Early Career Research Fellow at the Saïd Business School's Skoll Centre, he actively contributes to research initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and practice, particularly in the realms of corporate social responsibility and mental health.
In addition to his teaching and research roles, Laurence is a Contributor Researcher and Patient Public Involvement Facilitator in the Department of Psychiatry, where he emphasizes the importance of mental health in the context of sustainability.
