Kriss Titus is a dedicated Advocate, Advisor, and Social Leader in the nonprofit sector, with a profound commitment to improving the lives of veterans and addressing homelessness in Central Florida. As the Founder of Michael’s Foundation, established in 2019, Kriss channels her passion into impactful initiatives that support veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life. This mission was inspired by her son, Sgt. Michael Paul Titus, whose service in the Army as a Forward Observer Specialist tragically ended with his passing in 2016. Through Michael’s Foundation, Kriss has created a platform that not only honors her son’s legacy but also provides essential resources, training, and community support to help veterans thrive post-military service.
Under Kriss’s leadership, Michael’s Foundation has launched key projects focused on mental health awareness, housing stability, and employment opportunities for veterans. By fostering partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, she emphasizes the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in all initiatives. Her expertise in community management and corporate communications has enabled the foundation to effectively advocate for systemic changes that benefit those in need. Additionally, Kriss’s skills in training and team building have been instrumental in developing programs that empower veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to the tools and support necessary for a successful transition. As a board member of multiple organizations, she continues to leverage her extensive network to drive meaningful change, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals in the Central Florida area.
