Kim Bolton currently serves as the SEN Partnership Adviser at Brighton & Hove City Council, where she leverages her extensive experience in educational leadership to enhance the quality of special educational needs (SEN) provision across the region. With over 15 years in headship roles, including her tenure as headteacher of the Alternative Education Service in Slough and leadership positions in both a large middle school in Windsor and the CDP Federation of three special schools in Brighton and Hove, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role.
In her capacity as SEN Partnership Adviser, Kim is instrumental in driving key projects aimed at improving outcomes for children with special educational needs. Her work involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including schools, local authorities, and families, to ensure that SEN strategies are effectively implemented and tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. Kim's experience as a National Leader of Education has equipped her with the skills necessary for school improvement, particularly in special schools and pupil referral units (PRUs), where she has successfully led initiatives that promote inclusive practices and enhance educational experiences for vulnerable learners.
