Jonn Menchaca serves as the Content Creation Program Director at First Gen Scholars, where he plays a pivotal role in empowering first-generation and low-income students as they navigate the complexities of the college application process. With a strong foundation in Chicanx/Latinx Studies and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Jonn brings a unique perspective to his work, informed by his own experiences as a Queer Chicano activist from City Heights, San Diego. In his current role, Jonn leads a cohort of 20 rising high school seniors, guiding them through the intricacies of college readiness, scholarship applications, and the broader landscape of higher education opportunities.
