Dr. Johanna Sweet serves as an Associate Professor of Business Administration at Roanoke College, where she plays a pivotal role as the Coordinator for the Human Resource Management (HRM) Concentration. With a robust academic background, including a Doctor of Education from The George Washington University and an MBA from East Carolina University, Dr. Sweet combines her extensive knowledge with practical insights gained through her consultancy, Sweet Research, Training, & Consulting LLC. Her expertise spans a variety of critical areas within human resources, including leadership development, employee training, recruitment and selection, and organizational behavior.
In her teaching, Dr. Sweet emphasizes the importance of positive organizational scholarship, equipping students with the skills necessary to foster healthy workplace environments. She teaches a diverse array of courses, such as HRM, Training & Development, and a unique freshmen writing seminar titled "Authorship of Your Life," which encourages students to reflect on their personal and professional narratives.
