Jim Trammell serves as an Associate Professor of Communication at High Point University, where he combines his extensive expertise in media criticism and strategic communications to shape the next generation of communicators. With a robust background in campaign management and qualitative research, Jim is dedicated to fostering critical thinking and creativity among his students. His current role involves not only developing and teaching a diverse array of courses—including interpersonal communication, video production, and the history of mass media—but also actively engaging in program development and assessment to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant and impactful.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Jim has played a pivotal role in the accreditation process for journalism and mass communication programs by composing detailed reports for the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC).
