Ian Garner is a seasoned professional with a profound commitment to youth development and camp management, exemplified by his extensive 45-year membership with the American Camp Association (ACA). Recently retired from his role as the National Director of Camp and Youth Relations at Markel Insurance Company, where he dedicated 21 years to enhancing safety and operational standards for camps, Ian brings a wealth of experience to his current involvement with ACA. His leadership journey includes serving as the Vice President of the ACA – Virginias Section for four terms, where he played a pivotal role in strategic planning and program management, ensuring that the association effectively meets the evolving needs of camps across Virginia.
