Hui Tong serves as a Principal Scientist at Spectrix Analytical Services, where he leverages his extensive expertise in analytical chemistry to drive innovative solutions in the field of mass spectrometry and purification techniques. With a robust background in conducting experiments such as MS (ESI/APCI), LC-UV/MS, and GC/MS (EI), Hui plays a pivotal role in confirming the molecular weight of small molecules, routinely processing up to 25 samples per day. His proficiency in structure elucidation, utilizing advanced methods like LC-MS/MS and H/D exchange, enables him to provide critical insights that support chemists in their research endeavors.
In addition to his work with small molecules, Hui has a strong focus on the analysis of biomolecules, including peptides, proteins, and RNAs. His experience with non-routine experiments, such as MALDI-TOF and LC-MS/MS, positions him as a key contributor to projects aimed at understanding complex biological systems. Currently, he is providing analytical support in the Single Compound Purification Group at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he specializes in small molecule and peptide purification.
