Helena Scutt is a dynamic Mechatronics Engineer at American Magic, where she plays a pivotal role in the engineering design and development of cutting-edge onboard controllers for foiling America's Cup race boats. With a strong academic foundation, holding both a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) and a Bachelor’s in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University, Helena brings a unique blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking to the team. Her current focus involves designing intuitive human interfaces that enhance the sailor's experience and streamline interaction with complex systems during high-stakes races.
In addition to her design work, Helena is instrumental in coordinating the development of system control software, ensuring that the integration of mechanical and software components operates seamlessly.
