Gust Hatanelas serves as the Operational Excellence Manager at Ergon Inc., where he leverages over 20 years of extensive experience in the refining industry to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. His background as a trained operator in two Frontier refineries, specifically with UOP and P66 designed alkylation units, provides him with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in refinery operations. In his current role, Gust oversees the AHS (Advanced Health and Safety) department and the Process Safety Management (PSM) department, ensuring that safety protocols and operational standards are not only met but continuously enhanced.
Gust’s expertise extends to critical areas such as hazardous waste management, risk management plans, and incident investigation, making him a pivotal figure in maintaining compliance and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
