Federica Barbieri serves as a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and the Programme Director for the MA TESOL at Swansea University, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of future educators and linguists. With a robust background in discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics, Federica brings a wealth of expertise to her teaching and research. She is dedicated to exploring the intricate dynamics of language use in social contexts, which is reflected in her graduate and undergraduate courses on descriptive grammar, text analysis, and sociolinguistics.
In her role as Programme Director, Federica not only oversees the MA TESOL curriculum but also actively engages in curriculum development to ensure that the program remains at the forefront of language education.
