As the Commissioner of the California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac), Don Ott brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to the realm of athletics administration. With a career spanning NCAA, NAIA, and professional sports, Don has consistently demonstrated his ability to innovate and lead within diverse athletic environments. His role at Cal Pac, which encompasses 15 colleges and universities across California, Nevada, and Arizona, is pivotal in fostering a competitive yet character-driven atmosphere among member institutions.
Since the establishment of a full-time conference office in January 2017, Don has spearheaded numerous key projects aimed at enhancing the student-athlete experience. His initiatives focus on integrating faith-based principles and character development into athletic programs, ensuring that student-athletes not only excel in their sports but also grow as individuals. This holistic approach resonates deeply within the Cal Pac community, where the emphasis on personal growth complements the pursuit of athletic excellence.
