Dimitrios Papasotiriou serves as a Technical Expert in Structural Chemistry at Syngenta, where he leverages his extensive expertise in proteomics and mass spectrometry to drive innovation in the field of agricultural biotechnology. In his current role, Dimitrios is at the forefront of establishing a cutting-edge Quality Control platform within Syngenta’s Central Research Dispensary system. This initiative is pivotal in enhancing the reliability and efficiency of compound analysis, ensuring that the products developed meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
As the project leader for this innovative platform, Dimitrios is responsible for overseeing the High Throughput LC/MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) platform and conducting Structure Check analyses. His work serves a diverse array of stakeholders, including Compound Management and Compound Exchanges, as well as teams involved in Discovery Early projects. By integrating advanced bioanalytical techniques, such as MALDI (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization) and ESI (Electrospray Ionization) mass spectrometry, he is able to provide critical insights that facilitate the discovery and development of new compounds.
