David Weingarten serves as a Data Solutions Architect/Administrator at Chord Energy, where he leverages over 20 years of extensive experience in enterprise database and infrastructure architecture. In his current role, David is instrumental in the design and management of a robust hybrid data-processing and analytics infrastructure that encompasses over 100 servers and more than 85 TB of data. This infrastructure is strategically distributed across four data centers and two private clouds, ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities that are critical for the organization’s operations.
One of David's key projects includes leading the global Telemetry cloud initiative, which harnesses the power of Microsoft Azure and HDInsight, integrating technologies such as HBase, EventHub, and Time Series Insights. This ambitious project, which connects hundreds of IoT endpoints, has not only streamlined data collection and analysis but has also resulted in significant annual cost savings for the company.
