Bryan Hwang is currently making significant strides in the field of machine learning as a Data Labeling Intern at SwingVision, a company recognized for its innovative contributions to sports technology. As a second-year Data Science student at UC Berkeley, Bryan is deeply engaged in the intersection of artificial intelligence and computer vision, particularly within the context of sports analytics. His role involves utilizing the Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) to meticulously create approximately 2,000 labels each month for videos that train a cutting-edge tennis tracking machine learning model. This model has garnered acclaim, winning Apple’s 2023 Innovation Design Award, highlighting the impact of Bryan's contributions.
Working collaboratively with a team of six other interns, Bryan tackles complex edge cases to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data used for model training and reinforcement. His hands-on experience in data labeling not only sharpens his technical skills in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn but also enhances his understanding of the practical challenges faced in machine learning projects. Bryan's proficiency in data manipulation using libraries such as Pandas and his familiarity with Holoviz for data visualization further equip him to contribute effectively to the team’s objectives.
