Barbara Morris is a dedicated Online Event Organizer and Online Group Site Manager-Creator, leveraging her extensive background in education and event planning to foster community engagement and connection. With a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the University of Washington, Barbara initially carved out a career in music education, teaching General Music in the Renton School District. Her passion for music and teaching has seamlessly translated into her current role, where she combines her organizational skills with her love for community building.
Barbara's journey into event organization began unexpectedly during the planning of her high school reunion in 2011. This experience ignited her enthusiasm for bringing people together, leading her to successfully organize subsequent reunions, including the memorable 45th in 2016. Beyond live events, Barbara has taken her organizational talents online, creating and managing the "Renton High School Class of 1971" Facebook page, along with several other social media platforms. Through these channels, she not only keeps classmates informed but also cultivates a sense of belonging and nostalgia among alumni.
Her expertise in social networks, combined with her skills in customer service and music, allows her to create engaging online experiences that resonate with participants. Barbara’s commitment to connecting individuals through shared interests and memories exemplifies her belief in the power of community. As she continues to explore innovative ways to engage audiences online, her work stands as a testament to the impact of thoughtful event organization in fostering lasting relationships.
