Barak Craig serves as the Director of Catering & Dining Services at Chartwells’ Higher Education Division, where he leverages his extensive expertise in hospitality leadership and foodservice management to enhance the dining experience for nearly 12,000 students, faculty, and staff on a collegiate campus. In this dynamic role, Barak is instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of a 400-seat tray-less all-you-care-to-eat dining facility and a vibrant 300-seat retail dining location that features nine distinct culinary concepts, four of which were innovatively developed in-house. His proficiency in menu engineering and creation allows him to curate diverse and appealing dining options that cater to a wide range of dietary preferences and nutritional needs.
One of Barak's key projects involves the successful transition to a new foodservice company following the award of a new contract by the college. This complex undertaking required meticulous planning and execution, showcasing his skills in logistics and foodservice design. Under his leadership, the team has implemented robust food sanitation practices and streamlined food preparation processes, ensuring a safe and efficient dining environment.
