Ashley Ruderman-Looff serves as the Director of Institutional Equity, Title IX Coordinator, and Affirmative Action Officer at Rhode Island College, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering a safe and equitable educational environment. With a strong foundation in civil rights compliance, Ashley is responsible for ensuring that the college adheres to Title IX and Civil Rights regulations, including Title VI and VII. Her expertise in navigating complex legal frameworks allows her to effectively facilitate formal grievance procedures and informal resolutions, ensuring that all students, staff, and faculty feel heard and supported.
A key aspect of Ashley's role involves training various stakeholders on compliance issues, empowering them with the knowledge necessary to uphold the college's commitment to nondiscrimination. Her strategic thinking and individualization skills enable her to tailor training sessions that address the unique needs of diverse groups, fostering an inclusive atmosphere on campus.
