Andrew Foote serves as the Principal Reliability Engineer and Manager of Programs 3 at HII, formerly known as Alion Science and Technology. With a robust background spanning 25 years in reliability engineering, Andrew has established himself as a pivotal figure in the field, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector. His expertise encompasses a wide range of reliability, maintainability, and supportability tasks, making him a key asset in managing and supporting business opportunities with HII’s DoD customers.
As the Director of Alion's System Reliability Center, Andrew has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing system reliability and performance. His leadership in this center of excellence has driven the development and implementation of advanced methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Weibull Analysis. These methodologies are critical in identifying potential failure points and improving system design, ultimately ensuring mission success for military operations.
In addition to his technical prowess, Andrew brings over 20 years of experience in program management, business development, and technical proposal writing, having contributed to hundreds of successful DoD projects.
