Andrew Devedjian is a dynamic leader and advocate for global education, currently serving as the Founder and Executive Director of Project Global Story. In this pivotal role, Andrew leverages his extensive background in education and nonprofit management to forge meaningful connections between U.S. institutions—such as colleges and community organizations—and schools in developing countries. His vision is to create sustainable educational opportunities that empower students and teachers alike, fostering a global community of learners.
Under Andrew's leadership, Project Global Story has initiated several key projects aimed at enhancing educational resources and support systems in underserved areas. These initiatives include collaborative workshops, curriculum development, and mentorship programs that not only enrich the learning experience for students abroad but also cultivate a sense of global citizenship among participants in the U.S. Andrew's adept communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure have been instrumental in navigating the complexities of international partnerships and securing funding for impactful projects.
With a strong foundation in teaching, having previously served as a 5th-grade Math and Science teacher at Herzl School Excellence in Chicago, Andrew brings a unique perspective to his work. His commitment to education is further underscored by his academic achievements, including a Master’s in Elementary Teaching from Relay Graduate School. As a 2nd-year J.D. candidate at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Andrew is also honing his legal expertise, which will undoubtedly enhance his capacity to advocate for educational equity on a global scale.
