Alonso Salinas serves as the Food Safety Manager at Garland Food, LLC, where he leverages nearly a decade of expertise in food safety and quality assurance to ensure the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence. In his current role, Alonso is instrumental in managing and leading the implementation of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) across various food manufacturing processes, particularly focusing on low acidified products and both fresh and dehydrated vegetables.
One of his key projects includes the development and execution of comprehensive Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) and ATP testing protocols, which are critical for maintaining sanitation and safety in food production. His adeptness in crafting robust sanitation programs and conducting thorough risk assessments has significantly enhanced the company’s HACCP and Food Safety Plans, ensuring that all products meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements.
