Susan Lewis, RN, brings a unique blend of healthcare expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to her role as Co-Owner and Manager of Simply Country Gifts & Southern Belles Tea Room. With a robust background in nursing, including specialties in obstetrics, high-risk antepartum care, and lactation consulting, Susan has seamlessly transitioned her clinical skills into the retail and hospitality sectors. Since founding the business with her husband in 1986, she has cultivated a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects her passion for nurturing and care, qualities she honed during her years as an Obstetrical RN and Childbirth Educator.
In her current role, Susan oversees all aspects of the tea room and retail gift store, from daily operations to employee management and customer service. Her experience as a Relief House Supervisor in a busy community hospital has equipped her with exceptional leadership and crisis management skills, which she applies to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for both staff and patrons. Susan is also adept at marketing and advertising, utilizing her knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Office to create engaging promotional materials and manage vendor relationships effectively.
