Maddie Harris is a dynamic Program Coordinator at the Feinstein Institute of Public Service at Providence College, where she passionately integrates her expertise in student development and community engagement. With a Master’s degree in Student Development Administration, Maddie brings a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to fostering meaningful connections between students and the community. In her current role, she expertly manages the Community Work Study Program, a vital initiative that places 45-55 students annually in various community service roles. By developing and nurturing partnerships with local organizations, Maddie ensures that students gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing positively to the community.
In addition to her work with the Community Work Study Program, Maddie plays a pivotal role in coordinating the Feinstein Institute’s intercultural immersion course, which is embedded within the Global Service-Learning (GSL) program. This innovative program not only enhances students' academic experiences but also promotes cultural competency and social responsibility. Maddie's project management skills and organizational abilities are essential as she oversees the logistics of these immersive experiences, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their roles in diverse environments.
Maddie also supervises student workers within the department, conducting weekly meetings that foster professional development and encourage leadership skills.
