Heidi Jeub is a dynamic force in the arts community, serving as the executive director and primary Teaching Artist for Heijeu Arts. With a rich background in integrating art into diverse educational settings, Heidi has made significant contributions to classrooms, youth programs, senior centers, and community initiatives. Her expertise in painting, drawing, and design thinking has positioned her as a sought-after artist on competitive teaching artist rosters, including COMPAS and the Central MN Arts Board TARP program.
Heidi specializes in long stitch and coptic bookbinding, showcasing her meticulous craftsmanship and artistic vision. Her work not only emphasizes the beauty of handmade books but also serves as a medium for storytelling and personal expression. In addition to her bookbinding practice, she engages in reconstructive bookbinding for individuals, ensuring that each piece is treated with care and respect—though she humorously notes that these creations should not make their way to Antiques Roadshow!
As she resumes her Book Binding Studio Practice, which had been on hold during her graduate studies, Heidi is eager to explore new projects that blend her artistic skills with her passion for education. Her ability to build relationships and foster interdisciplinary collaboration has been instrumental in her success, allowing her to create impactful art exhibitions and public art projects. With a strong foundation in nonprofit finance and strategic planning, Heidi continues to drive Heijeu Arts forward, making art accessible and engaging for all.
