Prior to his tenure at Beacon Hill, Matthew was a dedicated member of the NSW Police Force Band from December 2010 to 2014, where he honed his performance skills in a unique environment that combined music with community service. His experience as a casual member of The Corrective Services Band since April 2014 further showcases his commitment to using music as a means of rehabilitation and outreach. Additionally, Matthew has been a vital part of Warringah Concert Brass since 2000, serving as Principal Euphonium in 2013, where he contributed to the ensemble's rich sound and dynamic performances.
