As the Principal Communications Engineer at the Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS), Glenn Lebrasseur plays a pivotal role in advancing aerospace education and innovation through cutting-edge communication technologies. Leading the Communications Team, Glenn is at the forefront of designing, developing, and operating sophisticated radio and networking systems that are essential for the successful launch and operation of the LV class sounding rocket flights. His expertise in satellite ground stations and data communications enables the team to establish robust communication links that are critical for telemetry and command operations during flight.
Currently, Glenn and his team are also contributing to OreSat, Oregon's first CubeSat project, which aims to provide hands-on experience in satellite design and operation for students. This initiative not only enhances the educational experience at Portland State University but also fosters collaboration across various disciplines, integrating embedded system design and implementation with real-world aerospace applications.
